Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade a father first at final All-Star Game

At All-Star Media Day day ahead of Miami Heat star guard Dwyane Wade’s 13th and final NBA All-Star Game, he sits at the podium and receives a question from a special interviewer.

Amid the media scrum in Charlotte, Wade’s son, Zaire, emerges to ask his father a question.

“You got a credential?” Dwyane Wade asks jokingly. “All right. What’s your question?”

Zaire: “Mr. Wade, do you think you could beat your son one-on-one?”

To which Dwyane Wade quickly quips: “Been there, done that. Next.

“I’m going to play him one more time after this season. It’ll be my last time playing him, and we’ll see what he got.”

Wade’s final All-Star appearance in his illustrious 16-year career is largely about his experience, but he wants to make it an experience for Zaire.
