Goran Dragic listed as out for Miami Heat’s game vs. Hawks

It looks like the Miami Heat (7-12) will not get its starting point guard back for Tuesday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks.

Goran Dragic is listed as out for the contest on Miami’s latest injury report released Monday at 5:30 p.m. Dragic has missed the past four games with a right knee injury.

The hope was that Dragic would be able to return for the Heat’s four-game homstand, which begins Tuesday against the Hawks (4-16). He had fluid drained from his right knee last Monday and he did not travel for the team’s recent two-game trip that ended with Sunday’s loss to the Toronto Raptors.

The original timetable called for Dragic to be re-evaluated when Miami returned home from the trip. The 32-year-old has already missed seven games this season, with the Heat posting a 2-5 record in his absence.

Tyler Johnson (right hamstring strain) is also listed as out for Tuesday’s game against the Hawks. It would mark the fourth consecutive game he’s missed because of the injury.

The Heat also remains without Dion Waiters, as he continues to recover from January ankle surgery.

Tuesday is the start of a critical four-game stretch at home that precedes a long six-game West Coast trip. Miami has dropped five consecutive home games and is 3-7 at AmericanAirlines Arena this season.

“Going out west is tough,” Heat guard Dwyane Wade said. “But we want to come in and establish ourselves at home, playing Atlanta on Tuesday. We just got to figure out a way to get wins. Whichever way they come, this is a time right now where we look at the games. We have four at home and we got to take care of business.”
